The Triumphal EntryLuke 19:40
…39 But some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!” 40 “I tell you,” He answered, “if they remain silent, the very stones will cry out.” 41 As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it…
As we walk around our neighborhood, the shopping centers and all around our city, we are witnessing more and more, the power of this Christmas Season. There is no need to get into detail since many of you are also witnessing this phenomena. People are humming, singing, and whistleing Christmas tunes.
I know that some who are singing, are Christians awaiting Christmas Eve & Day, but a big portion of those people humming or listening to Christmas songs may not be.
Yet, there they are, joyfully singing about the Christmas miracle.
It is a miracle because of what God did for His children. Coming down from His eternal Home and becoming one of us! Only to die 30+ years later, for our sins…
I find it intriguing that most people get into the Spirit of Christmas. Because their Creator, whether or not they believe, has to be worshipped and hailed into the kingdom of men. If our collaborate spirits were not willing to whistle, hum or sing about the Newborn King, the very stones all over the world would cry out to worship Him! Signaling this very special and momentous event!
So if you are not yet in the CHRISTmas Spirit, I would highly encourage you to start at least humming some Christmas carols. You will find that your inner spirit has been screaming to worship its Creator!
I added another song for you to get into the Spirit!
1 Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King:
peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!”
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with th’angelic hosts proclaim,
“Christ is born in Bethlehem!”
Refrain: Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the newborn King”
2 Christ, by highest heaven adored,
Christ, the everlasting Lord,
late in time behold him come,
offspring of the Virgin’s womb:
veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
hail th’incarnate Deity,
pleased with us in flesh to dwell,
Jesus, our Immanuel. [Refrain]
3 Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
risen with healing in his wings.
Mild he lays his glory by,
born that we no more may die,
born to raise us from the earth,
born to give us second birth. [Refrain]
