Perfect Timing, Perfect Beauty

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”   Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 NKJV Bible

….. You make beautiful things
(You make me new)
You make beautiful things out of us
(You are making me new, making me new)
Oh, you make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust

You make me new, You are making me new
You make me new, You are making me new…….Artist: Gungor from the Album: Miscellaneous**

Yesterday,  I had to get out of my office and decided to go grab a bite to eat. I was driving around trying to find something healthy.

As I was driving east towards the local shopping center, I kept circling a certain spot where I wanted to stop in. As God’s perfect will would have it, I was unable to. Frustrated and hungry, I decided to go back towards my way and stop in at a different restaurant.

Now going east, I made my way through a short cut. It did not work the way I wanted it to. You see, in my impatience, I got stuck in back of one of those special needs transportation shuttle buses. The song above started playing as I waited for the lady driver (nothing wrong with lady drivers) manipulate the lift’s control, located in the passenger’s back of the shuttle. The special needs man in the wheelchair was going ever so slowly down the lift. My thoughts went back to the songs that was playing.

A few minutes passed before the lift was finally on the ground and as the song was still playing, I realized that there was a young man who had waited to receive the special needs, wheelchair bound man and take him inside for whatever the reason needed for him to be there.

The song was memorizing and it was at the stanza that says, “You make beautiful things out of dust.”

I realized while waiting there that I wasn’t irritated at the thought of having to wait. I also realized that as the song was playing, the scene became a video of the song that was playing.

The young man waiting for his patient, received the special needs man with a warm smile and a greeting that transcends this culture, with a fist bump. As the young man slowly lifted his arm and made a fist towards the special needs patient, it was reciprocated immediately by a warm smile from the special needs patient who extended his arm and fist bumped the young man waiting to take him inside of the patient care facility.

All this happened within the song’s timeline and I knew that this specific time and moment, was created by my Lord  just for me. It was as if God had me there, to realize that He alone creates the beautiful everyday things in our lives, so that we can take moments from our busy schedules and just meditate on Him.

That perfectly timed moment will forever be edged in my mind. As I saw the young man warmly greet his special needs patient. I now know that this is how Jesus will warmly greet me as I am lifted from this body that has so many imperfections and special needs. I can’t wait to have Him fist bump me into His heavenly care facility for this different special needs, downtrodden, weary traveler….
