In the ancient days, before the nautical compass, people relied on the stars to get them to their destination. The North Star was the one constant for the ancient sailors. They depended on it to get home. When storms hit, and cloud cover made it impossible to see the Star, the small boats would continue the course, hoping that they were on the right path. Once the storm ceased, and the clouds dispersed, the North Star would be there waiting for them, showing them their path towards home.
God is the same way— we may be going through some tough times this year, but the storms will disperse as fast as they started. & we will see that God has always been there for us!
This is very important! Never forget that anywhere we go – God is in our mist. Yes, I said mist not midst. He is always in our midst. Even when we can’t see anything before us, because everything is foggy. He is there when we can’t see in front of us– He is guides us even better when we can’t see and have to depend on Him!
The way things are going, we have to remember who is in control. Our Compass should always be on God. Not on what we see or can’t see. Our comapss in life is not other people. It is God. Don’t follow others, you will get lost. Follow God, the constant in our midst of troubles.
Peter sank to the depths of the storm when he took his focus off of Jesus & began looking at the raging water. Don’t be like Peter, focus on Jesus in the midst of Turbulence.—OS ROCA
