Living Water Sips 1 Minute Devotionals
Today, I’m going to start on something that is going to be just 1-2 minute devotionals (hopefully). As you see on the title I want to connect them to the sips of living water title and series. The reason being is, most people, including Christians, have a super hectic life. I’m gonna continue doing my political Tuesdays in my follow-up to the studies.
But here’s the most important part:
I will be doing 2 to 5 days of small devotionals that will connect into the previous weeks studies that we have on Sunday night. In this way, those that have been part of our Bible /Zoom night, will have a chance to catch up on anything that may have been missed during our Sunday Night Study. This will still be useful and helpful for those that are not part of Bible Study, since it will have you answering questions on your own.
So today I will just start with The Groom – Jesus… The Bride – His Church.
When you are reading the Gospels, and you see Jesus asking questions, telling parables, and explaining the parables, it is like a Shepherd-King- Servant-Groom teaching his bride. Now for men that is not too appealing. But if we take the same example and turn it into Jesus the most incredible Teacher that has lived, the most amazing Life Coach, and take the valuable practice time through His teaching and guiding time, we will see a story of spiritual power, success, and triumph.
Where the groom was teaching and leading, His church imitated and duplicated it. This is the age, or epoch His churches in while we wait…..for The Groom to come back for His Bride, the Church….
now to the 1-2 minute DEVOtional:
25 Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her 26 to sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the word, 27 so that he may present the church to himself as glorious—not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. -Ephesians Chapter 5 NET BibleThe Apostle Paul
- !. What does it mean to love someone as Christ did to His disciples?
- 2. What does it mean to give of yourself to your spouse?
- 3. If you don’t have a spouse, what does it mean to give yourself to your loved ones?
- 4. What does it mean to give yourself to others?
- 5. How can we bring our spouses to sanctity and cleansing through and by the Word?
- 6. How can we become more like the Groom, Jesus?
- 7. Take a minute to ask the LORD to help you where we have fallen short of this.
