I had an excellent Sunday study… a video was scheduled to be posted on Monday for the blog.
I had a second video and Keynote study midweek… This was also to be placed yesterday on the blog.
This week has been a technological anomaly. Nothing electronic has worked for me. I know when I’m hearing from God.Os Roca
This week was the week God dropped a spiritually Selah Moment on me. It wasn’t a fluttering of butterfly wings or a still small voice (1 kings 19:12). It was a thunderous, powerful, loud, please be still moment voice from the heavens.
These Selah Moments, are were I got the name for my blog. You see, from the moment I was born, there had been very few quiet moments for my mom…for my dad who saw me defy the laws of gravity a few times, those agonizing moments, of recklessness, almost killing me.
As I said before, God gave me a talent. It is a 3 letter gift. This gift has gotten me through a life that has had me re-invent myself over and over. Some people, like my wife, are gifted enough to have a constant once-in-a-lifetime experience. There are people with the opposite gift I have, my wife is one of them.
No, not me, that’s not who I am… I need to think of 5 things at once. I need to do multi-tasking or not do anything at all.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s a present, not a curse. The gift I have is A.D.D. Some parents regard it as a curse; they would do anything to bring these wascally rabbits (their children) to a quiet state of balance…by any means necessary. Even if it means getting them prescriptions that will drain the life out of them…along with their spirit of taking on mountains, or reaching the goals that the Almighty has for them. Instead, these parents suck the life out of their children by doping them with so many prescription drugs by medical experts that ought to know better. I am glad that my parents didn’t do this to us!
All this to say, I was pretty busy this past weekend & beginning of this week. I had plans, lots of plans. But God has an incredible sense of humor. He knows better than I. And I, don’t know His way. His ways are not my ways (Isaiah 55:8-10)
So with all this energy and enthusiasm for editing videos, and wanting to reach people for Christ through Bible studies and this blog… He has me in the wilderness this week…scratch that, these past 2 weeks. Hence, this blog post instead of last week’s Sunday study and mid-week Zoom & blog study.
If you find yourself too busy & something comes to mind, God will provide you with Selah moments. Sometimes the thorns on our sides that we experience are sent by God, to bring us to a state of His grace & mercy.Os Roca
We are too busy to blame the enemy for everything. Sometimes, our Abba dad wants to bring us to a Please Be Still Moment with Him. It is during that time that we refresh, renew, refocus and replan…but the special Selah moments we have with the King of the universe, gives us His perspective and not ours. I pray that The LORD will bring you close to Him, and all of you have a very special Selah Moment with Him. Just you and Him in communication… getting to know each other better… scratch that, getting to know Him, your heavenly Dad, who is always ready to give you special blessings of time with Him…as long as you’re not to busy trying to defy the laws of physics by doing more than you can handle.
The above pictures has 3 letters: S,L, & H–Thorns, Shepherd Staff, & a Man praising…
My Take on the word SELAH:
I will take a Please Be Still Moment when The Great Shepherd sends me thorns to stop me so that He & I can refresh, renew, refocus & replan God’s will!Os Roca
