This blog is for all those that are suffering from some type of habitual problem.
If you are drinking any type of alcoholic beverage every day, and know you can’t stop, get rid of it.
If you smoke, but can’t stop, get rid of it.
If you play video games and you can’t stop playing, get rid of the video game console.
If you’re on the Internet and are always craving things that you’re not supposed to watch, get rid of it.
If whatever you were doing is making you do it habitually, you must stop doing whatever it is that you’re doing. You can’t do it by yourself. You can’t even do it with a support group. You have to get the support from above before you get the support from others on earth.

I have seen people go from elevated highs to deep down valley lows on their walk. They go from serving here and there and everywhere, that I often ask myself when this person will just silently stop coming to serve. 9 times out of 10, this happens. I am not a prophet, the outcome is discernible if you care about those that want to serve and fellowship alongside of you.
You see, we were meant to glorify life. To do what each individual is being called to do. We are to go out and make the most of this life. When we get stuck in an addiction, we get stagnated by the enemy of life. We become enslaved to whatever is keeping us from our true destiny.
That destiny is set up for us by the Creator of this universe. But the enemy of life comes and dangles things that it knows will stop us dead on our tracts for long periods of time.

This is called addiction. Whatever addiction stops you from doing life, comes from the author and enemy of life. This enemy wants you to fail at everything. This enemy wants you living in a little dark corner of the world, doing its bidding. Its bidding is for you and me to live a life of unfulfilled goals. This enemy hates success, it would rather see us alone, hiding away from those that love, and want the best for us. Whether it’s so much time on a game that we miss out on uplifting and needed conversations, or finishing up college or a trade school or going out on a trip to help the poor of this earth.
Whatever is grabbing on to you, or putting tent pegs on you so as to make you stand still & stop you from moving forward, you have to break away from.

So if you are reading this today and you can’t live without smoking, or drinking alcohol, or taking some kind of substance, ask God to set you free!
If you can’t stay away from the dark side of the internet, or you have to keep looking at your smartphone, get rid of them! Ask God to give you the strength to do without them so that you can move forward and fulfill whatever you have been called to fulfill. Your life goals may not be to be the world’s best surgeon, or the best athlete.
But be the best version of you that you are called to be. You were created by God to be you, not your brother or sister or friend or mom or dad.

Ask yourself what you have always been drawn to do. What you like to do for a living. What you like to do for the rest of your life. Something that will glorify life and the Author of life. Then set some goals on paper, even if they are so far fetched that you smile to yourself thinking that there is no way it could ever be done…. Then go for it.
Make the enemy of life, the enslaver of many people, hate the day you were born!
