31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.–The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 5
6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” The Gospel of Mark Chapter 10
18 “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.– The Gospel of Luke Chapter 16

WARNING: The message below is intended to wake people up. It is not for anyone who loves their spouse or knows that marriage is not for wimpy people….
There is only one action in which a person is freed from their matrimonial vows. The only sin that our Lord & Savior was exceptionally adamant on. He would not allow even those that thought they knew the Laws of God. Notice I did not say the Law of Moses because Moses did not create these. Moses was just the secretary who wrote them down the second time for the Israelites(Exodus 31:17 & 18; 32:15-17.). Even more important, the Laws of God predate Moses(Genesis 2:23-25) as Jesus Himself said in the Gospel of Mark 10:6-9. There is another sin that we need to address, the sin of abuse. If you are abusing your spouse, STOP IT RIGHT NOW! No one likes a bully, and God has specific words for those who devise or plan evil against people-Proverbs 6:16-19.
All this to say, that if you or your spouse are contemplating a divorce… don’t. Work things out.
If you hear people say that they have fallen out of love with someone, don’t take their excuses! Sit them down and slap some good ol’ scripture spanking on them.
I have seen it time and time again where people want friends to allow their sin just because it’s the modern thing to do.This includes pastors and elders of churches.
Under no circumstances except the two above can a Christian leave and divorce their spouse…
So for those that have “Fallen out of love,” with their spouses, suck it up buttercups…and work on your marriage.
