Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and I want to jump ahead of the day by wishing all the mommies out there a beautiful and blessed day.
I know that most moms understand their commitment is a lifetime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. If the average woman starts having children at age 25 and live until they pass on at age 75, they will have taken care of their children for 2,608.88 weeks or 18,262.13 days! I say age 75 because a mother’s job is not done when their kids leave home.
So to all those moms who work tirelessly day in and day out, doing all the things a wife and mom does, God has a special blessing for you:
…26 She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:… Book of Proverbs chapter 31:26-28 NASB
Your Husband and children will call you blessed and praise you for all that you do!
I want to give a shout out to my wife who exemplifies this virtue. She has passed this along to my girls and that is what pointing people to Christ by one’s actions is.
To the rest of the awesome moms out there, may your husbands and kids treat you well throughout this year and not just one day!
