As the sun’s rays hit at first light
I look across the fields of green
With thousands of crosses white
In perfect order that can be seen
Through the foggy early layer mist
All these brave young men Lord
Whose families will sorely miss
Lives sacrificed and cut short
For God, family, and country
Those heroic and stalwart men
Whose lives were stopped abruptly
Lord keep them by Your side until we meet again…
