The Scripture
“His master told him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant! Since you’ve been trustworthy with a small amount, I’ll put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master’s joy!’–Jesus in Matthew 25:23 ISV
The Memory:
I remember Norman Geisler saying once, that there was this super quiet student sitting in his Seminary classes, always there, listening. Norman is one of the best apologist we’ve ever had. Would have loved to have sat in one of his classes.
The shy quiet man Norman Geisler was speaking of, was Ravi Zacharias who has joined Norman in our Father’s kingdom.
The Mourning:
Although I mourn for this Godly man, and I very rarely morn for any Christian public figure, since they are in the LORD’s presence, and they would not want anyone boasting or mourning for them.
But this one stung, because Ravi was one of the most humble men I’ve ever come across. Ravi’s humility wasn’t faked in public.
I’ve met men you hear on radio and they are good men, but for some, their notoriety has gotten in the way of their humility. Ravi was different, his inner man came out with lots of love and humility. And that was Christ’s love and humility.
Ravi’s demeanor was always oozing out love. The apologetics came second…
Rest well good servant, rest well…
Two brothers enter in:

At almost the same moments, a man who is not well known also stepped into paradise. His name is Hector Ramirez. His name has been changed in Heaven. Christ has given him a new name. As he entered into our Father’s kingdom, Jesus also told Hector, “Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter in!”
Hector’s demeanor was that of saying, “Okay LORD, you got this for me!” That was some kind of faith! & his fight, he never gave in or up
He is not well known like Ravi, but he was a mentor to his family and friends throughout the country. He was battling with something physically but remained faithful to the very end. How do I know? Because I saw his posts to the very time he was more than likely unable to post anymore. This man of God accomplished much in his life.
The Question(s):
Now, the question I have for all of you—
When was the last time you mentored a Timothy?
Or pointed someone in the right direction towards a good Christian mentor like Andrew did to Peter, two of the original twelve?
Because all men who have stepped up to teach, preach and disciple had a Paul to be mentored and taught. Don’t underestimate the power of the Spirit! Don’t underestimate the shy students who just sit in class but never give their input.
They maybe absorbing everything that God is showing them in the Spirit…through you!
Here’s to all those people that remain faithful until the end, in whatever level and capacity the LORD gives them.
Ravi and Hector, you have finished your races, see you brothers in a bit….
Get to be used by God to better humanity. Get to personally know who Jesus is & what He did for you!
