Only Road to Salvation |How To Know God

I recently spoke to someone who I have been getting to know better. This person has a good heart and is sincerely seeking God.
This person asked me why I always encourage folks even when I don’t know them that well.
This young person is working at a restaurant, and I encouraged them(will use they, and them from this point on, so as not to keep repeating myself) to go to college and work on what they like. They, like kids and sports. So every time I see them now, they will tell me their plans. They have also asked about my relationship with God.

I explain to them that all people who are born, come into this world with sin in their hearts.

That all people fall short of connecting with God on their own. Because we have all been separated by the wrongs we have done to others. Our sinful hearts lead us in the wrong direction at times.

And that only through Jesus we are connected back to God’s righteousness, without having to do anything ourselves,

That if they faithfully agree with everything that I’ve said, to ask Jesus to come into their lives & they are committing to allow Christ to do the work of changing them from the inside out.

If you decide to trust God to connect back with Him, all you have to do is confess it to someone aloud. I let them know that I could take them through the life-changing process.

—Do you know why Jesus came to die for you?
—Have you decided to know God intimately?
— Are you ready to give all your worries and problems to the only One that can help you through them?
— Are you ready to commit yourself as you are to Jesus?
—Do you want me to help you with any question or concern about committing yourself to Christ?

Short Version—This has to be from your heart to God’s:

—You have to ask for forgiveness.
—You also have to thank Jesus for His work on the cross.
— Lastly, you have to ask God to help you have the will power to stop you from doing the same wrongs or sins in your life. He will be faithful to lead you every minute of every day from this point on.

Longer Version:

—LORD, I know You sent Your Son Jesus into this world so that He would put an end to the separation everyone has with You. I ask You to take all my wrongdoings away entirely.
— I ask You to take my sinful heart and mind and replace it with a new spiritual one.
— I know that I come to you with all my problems, hang-ups, and past mistakes. I know I don’t need to do anything to take them all away because You will change me by Your power.
— Help me to change the things that I am doing wrong. I can’t do it by myself. Fill me with Your presence in my life. I know that You will guide me from this point on.
— Thank you, Father, for bringing Jesus to pay the price for my sins instead of me. I will stop doing the things that separate me from you. It will not be by my power but from Yours.
—I ask you this in Jesus’ Name.

Lastly—God also promises us that His peace will be your peace. That’s a peace that we can’t fully fathom. But it’s yours if you ask Him.

If you want to reconnect with God, I ask you to go through the above process, or ask Him right here, right now, to come into your life and bring you peace. Ask Him to forgive you, and God will. Thank Jesus for dying for your sins. He will reconnect His relationship with you.

Know God

Be Still & Heal |God’s Attributes for Calamities

Be still and know that I am God. We hear or read this over and over in the Bible. It is not until we are going through an excruciating ordeal that we seek answers; this is human nature. As humans, we tend to seek a higher power to guide us through hard periods in life.
However, most people will wait to speak to God only after the painful and mental ordeal of trying to cope with things on our own.
Do you notice I include myself in this too? That’s because I have learned to seek God consistently and be still enough to hear Him reply. No, I am not crazy, nor do I see dead people….

The voice of God is not audible, although, in recent times, people in the remotest parts of the world have seen and heard Jesus speak to them; this is for another blog post.
What I’m saying is this, God still speaks to His people. He is still The LORD, who is outside of time and space. He is everlasting. No beginning and no end. He is whom all of us have a direct line to, and it’s better than a Bat signal or 911 call when it comes to mental and spiritual health.

You see, my God is a Healer. The best Healer you can have. He is called YHWH-Rapha or the LORD Healer or The LORD who heals. Yet, here’s the most incredible thing I find, the same word for being still and to heal, have the same root word—rapha.
One is Rapha—to heal.
The other is Raphah— to be still.
Both are signs of God’s omnipresence, which means that God is here, there and everywhere, all at once.

All this to say:
Whatever awful or despicable things you are going through, God is there for you.
Be still, speak to Him. How? Just start chatting as if you are talking to a loved one. If you are past the talking stage, cry out to Him. He is here for you. The only requisite is to be still. This means that you have to drown out all the noise around you— TV, Internet, Cell phone, friends, etc..

Find a quiet place; this could be your bedroom, closet, bathroom, or a public area where you go to think as long as nothing is disturbing you from being still enough to hear God’s still small voice.
Make talking with God a priority. Tell Him everything that is on your mind. All the bad, all the good, all your dreams and goals. Ask Jesus to forgive you on anything that is keeping you from Him. Any wrongs you have committed, any hangups you have, any fears or insecurities. He is there to listen to you; but here’s the most critical part— He is there to speak and guide you through it all. You just need to be still and know He is there.
When you sit still, two things are happening:

The first thing is that you are connecting to the most powerful Being in this universe. The one who created and maintains all of the universe. Every single atom of life is in His hands. Being still heals you.
Secondly, as you speak and listen to God, He becomes the Healer. Jesus came to heal people from all kinds of problems.
Let Jesus into your life. He is the Way, The Truth and The Life. He is also the only one that can raise you from the dust, dirt, and ashes because He is the Resurrection and the Life.

Jesus Lamented over Jerusalem because of the coming devastation the Romans would inflict on His city
Some of the ruling Council members of the Sanhedrin were at war with Him
He knew most of the High Council had at this point rejected His authority
The principal members would soon vote to put Jesus to death
Without proper representation
Without the proper witnesses against Him
Yet, Jesus laments to the point of sadness over His city. The City of Peace or Peaceful CIty
Jesus was, even until His death, loving His ungrateful children.
Thursday would be a turn of events that Jesus would begin His Via Dolorosa of pain…
If you are still fighting Jesus in your life, don’t be like those in the High Council, don’t reject Jesus
Call on Him & ask Him to forgive you about everything you have done that is contrary to His commands, love, and peace
Get to know Jesus and have Him save you from your own destruction…

Prayer that Binds, Holds and Breaks |Power Thru Powerful Prayer Series

20 “Because you have so little faith. He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” … – Jesus the Messiah, Gospel of Matthew chapter 17

A combat-ready heart is much better than a wondering fly by the seat-of-heart. Especially when it comes to spiritual communication.
The power of prayer is incredible. There are examples in the Bible of people who were devoted to a prayer life and what it could do.

Prayer is communication; a two-way communication. Prayer is not just a hotline. I have heard people use the word hotline to God. There is nothing wrong with this. For me, a hotline is a one-way conversation where a person just spills all their worries and heartaches to another person who is listening on the other side. Almost like a confessional, where a priest is behind the wall and listens to everything the repentant person has done in the past. Again, there is nothing wrong with speaking to someone about your problems and past. But there is only one Mediator between God and men, His name is Jesus the Savior who died for our sins once and for all eternity. He is the only One that can absolutely help you.

Powerfully spirit filled prayer is amazing:

1. True prayer is the one that binds things together. The power of prayer is not in what we are saying or doing or asking God to do. But in what God is saying and asking us to do next. We need to sit still and listen. The Bible states that faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. You can spill your guts out all you want. Until you are blue in the face. But only when you stop talking can the other person hold a conversation with you.

2. Powerful prayer holds. Just like Jacob held on to the Angel of the Lord until there was a blessing given. We see that Jacob had gotten to a point in life where he knew that his past was coming back to get him. He would grab on and hold on desperately if needed until that blessing came to him. He knew that God was the only One in charge of his life.

3. Powerful prayer breaks bonds. In the case of a woman who had been bleeding out for twelve years. As a Jewish woman, this would mean that as long as she was,’unclean’, no one would be able to touch her. Not her husband, or children or mom or dad or anyone else. The loneliness of being singled out and unable to have a normal life would be unbearable.
This same woman would have the audacity to barely touch Jesus’ robe fringe.
I imagine her softly touching the Son of God’s robe, almost timidly trying her best not to bring attention to herself. She was ashamed of being too unclean for anyone to have pity on her. Yet, we see that Jesus came to her rescue. She did not have to grab on and wrestle Him down until daybreak. All she needed was to stand still inside of the loud and unruly crowd wanting Jesus’ attention.

She stood still until the perfect time when she knew that Jesus would be close enough to touch. The incredible prayer of patience for those twelve years. We must learn to have this woman’s faith and patience. She is one of the people that I will be seeking out in heaven to ask as many questions as I can.

If you are reading this today, and you have so many things that are troubling you, go the only One that can change your situation. His name is Jesus. Some call Him Yeshua, He is the only One that died for your sins and mine. He tells us to come to Him with all our burdens, He will take them upon Himself and make your life a lot better to bear.

If you are ready to receive His gift of salvation. All you have to do is:
– Bind the promises God has said He would do in your heart. Ask Jesus to cleanse your heart and mind. Ask Him to forgive you of all the things that are weighing you down in life. If it’s your past, leave it behind. Once you ask Him to forgive you, God leaves all the past wrongs behind you. Never to be seen or mentioned by Him again.
– Hold on to His promises, He will never leave you and never forsake you.
He will be with you always from this point on, until the end of time. Which is basically forever.
– Break the cycle. Whatever bad cycle you or your family have been in, God will break that cycle and make you new. You will have a fresh start in life because Jesus has mediated you back to God.
Don’t wait, be one of the people that can say that your prayers were powerful because God was with you..

Trials Come & Go~ Eternity is Forever |Monday Prayer

…Lord, my prayer is for me to be entirely healed from the lungs, heart and stomach area. I believe this because you say it to be true.
Not because I am anything but because you are everything. Not because I am worthy or sinless but because You are righteous and merciful. Not because of anything I have done for you but because of your everlasting love and compassion for me. You are worthy oh Lord, You are all-powerful, all-knowing and eternal. Lord, I lift my prayers up to You because You are the only one that can answer them. Jesus, Your Son is the Great Healer, and Your Spirit comforts me. What else do I need but to praise and thank you for everything that You have done in my life.
Healer and Redeemer, thank you for allowing me to commune with You. To walk and listen to You. Help me to hear what You say and truly listen to You. To be guided by You and to be filled by You so that I too can be on the same page as Your Spirit when He is hearkening to me to do something…

The above prayer was from my journal a few years ago. I wrote it so that I would be reminded of God’s unending love for us. I also wrote it as a prayer of hope and encouragement. Time and time again, God tells us to trust Him unconditionally. Because He protects us unconditionally. He is above every problem we face and is the ultimate solutions for everything natural and supernatural.

Today, if you feel that your health is failing, or that the circumstances in life are overwhelming your total being, trust in the Lord with all your hearts and do not lean on your own understanding.

He will take care of your health, finances or emotional problems happening in your life. It may not happen instantly or all at once, but in His perfect timing.
All He asks is for you to commit yourself to His Son Jesus and to ask Him to forgive you of your sins. It doesn’t matter what you have done unto until this very moment. What matters is that you put your trust in Jesus who has paid the ultimate price for you by dying on the cross almost 2,000 years ago.
What matters is right now, not the past, and what you do from this point on. Don’t wait, Jesus is there for you. Ask Him to forgive you for all the wrong things that you have done, no matter how horrible you think they are.
Ask Jesus to heal you of all the things that people have to you, no matter how vile they may be. You will see that His love for you is impossible to understand because Jesus will give you peace beyond what you could fathom.

Just do it, he will take care of the rest. He may not heal you instantly, He may not fix your circumstances right away, but He will give you peace through the storms of life. He will, in the long run, heal your whole being. Eternity is what matters. Eternity is your ultimate goal.

Tale of Two Trees | The Cross of Christ

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his uniquely existing Son so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.”~ John 3:16 ISV

We’ve been going through the Book of Genesis and the one thing that we see is that the snake was (Satan), and still is a very smart and subtle creature. More so than any other animal or person on earth.

His (Satan’s) main weapon is to plant a seed of doubt. His second weapon is to fill you to the brim with pride:

Did Elohim really say this?… Does God really want you to stay pure?… Do you really think that drinking and driving is bad? I think you can handle a few beers and then go home, you can even go slowly by streets.

But the biggest and most dangerous lie is this:

Oh come on! Do you really think a loving God would only have one way to get to heaven? You know that all religions lead to heaven, right? His Son Jesus is not the only way. He died on the cross for the people who are too weak to follow any other religion. Can you see how these Christians need Jesus as a crutch? But you can work your way into paradise when you die by doing ________, and by doing ________. If it was that easy just to ask God for forgiveness, don’t you think all religions would ask the same thing? But why is Christianity the ONLY one that asks you to do something so easy as just asking Jesus to forgive you? You know I’m right, you have to work your way to heaven by doing more good than bad!

Satan knows human weakness. Not because he is all-knowing like God, but because he has been here on earth a very long time, longer than humans! He has perfected his destructive plan and knows how to destroy people. Do not listen to anything that you know is wrong. And please, do not fall for the subtle lie that Jesus’ death doesn’t mean a thing.

You see, the snake did his most destructive achievement in the Garden. When he sold Adam and Eve on eating the fruit. The fruit that would start a death clock the minute they ate of it. His best work was done by leading them towards the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.

Thousands of years later, we see the same devious snake doing his evil work. But now, the crafty snake is trying to lure you away from the Tree of Life that Jesus hung on.

That Tree thousands of years later was cold, stained and bare of any fruit. Yet, as Jesus hung there, His famous words, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing,” resonated back in time to the moment in the garden, when our original befallen parents, Adam and Eve, had lost their paradise.

The Bible doesn’t say it, but, I am strongly inclined to think that Jesus went back to the scene at the garden, right to Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, and was thinking of the first two unfortunate creatures who would not be the last to fall for the snake’s lies. If you are tired of the lies this world has given you. If you have done everything to satisfy your bodily cravings, and yet you still feel empty and lost, come to the Tree that gives life! The Tree where Jesus the Savior hung on. The Tree that you could finally hang all your problems and emptiness or despair on. Jesus is saying, I forgive you, just ask Me and I will come into your life. You will have life, and more abundantly. Don’t let the snake fool you, he is a thief and a liar. Ask Jesus to give you more than the life you have now. Jesus will give you real life, not the counterfeit oil the snake has been selling you up to now…
