GETTING READY TO Vote? Let’s Change the country from within too!
Kids,
As you have seen, the country is in trouble. It’s not dead yet, but you must be the generation to change things.
The first thing you must change is the way this society views faith in God. You notice I did not say religion? There’s a reason for this.
—You see religion, is an external and outward sign that you acknowledge God.
—But then, religion is something you do on your own.
—Religion tells God that you are doing your best to get right with Him.
—Religion is going through the motions of earning your way into being rewarded. Or doing community service in order to get into heaven.
—Religion is what people see that you do outwardly.
—Religion is doing things your own way!
—Faith, on the other hand, is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see ( Hebrews 11:1 ).
—Faith is a personal relationship with God through Jesus, our LORD and Savior which must be professed and lived ( Matthew 10:32; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-11).
—Faith can’t be worked for ( Galatians 2:16; Philippians 3:9; Ephesians 2:8-9 ) but freely given by the work of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross (Read all of Isaiah 53, Isaiah 53:11; Matthew 20:28; Romans 3:24; Ephesians 1:7 ).
—Faith is shared by teaching others about God’s love and loving others ( Matthew 28:19; John 13:34; John 15:12; John 15:17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38; Acts 14:21 ).
—Faith knows that whatever is going on in this world, God has it covered and planned for His goodwill ( Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:25-34; Philippians 4:6 ), so we are not to worry what’s going on, God will take care of it.
—Faith is letting go of things, and acknowledging Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life. We become second and do things His way because the world is perilous, Jesus leads us through the narrow paths to safety ( Isaiah 35:8; Proverbs 16:25; Matthew 7:14; Luke 13:24; John 14:6 ).
Kids, you must point others to Jesus! Teach them about His love. Teach them to lead others to Him! Show them the way!
Not by being super perfect, but by showing them God’s love, grace, and mercy. No one is perfect, everyone needs Jesus. No one can try to be perfect, they will all fail, that’s religion.
But everyone can call out to God to save them, that’s God’s gift through His Son Jesus, that is salvation…and everyone who has faith in God’s Son can be saved…that is faith!
The State of this Union must be brought back to unity!
Go out there and change this country one person at a time…no matter who is in charge, God will always reign!
